Happy 8 week birthday puppies!

These guys are done and ready to go!  They had a busy week, going to the vet for their health checks last Thursday (everyone is very healthy), getting their first shots, getting wormed, running around in the snow paths for the first time, and investigating every corner of Kim's basement.  (It is a BIG basement too!)  Dreamer will be staying with Kim.  She is a stunning bi blue, and in her free time (i.e. when she can get away from the twins and 4 yr. old Cory) she will take her out to the shows.  We will co-own Ani with Kathy Ryan, who owns Marco, the sire of this litter.  This is an exciting opportunity, as Kathy will show Ani and earn her championship.  Thank you Kathy!!  The goal is to finish enough of Marco's offspring so that he gets his ROM (Register of Merit).  Ani will then return to me after she is finished, and we'll see what else we can do with her... obedience, rally, agility??  We'll see.  Noelle has turned into a very pretty puppy, as you will see from the photo.  Maybe she'll go to a show home too!
Right now we just have photos of the 3 blue girls.  Kim will be sending over more, and I'll post them here.  Hope everyone is staying safe, warm and dry in this ugly weather!

7 weeks old!

Had a GREAT afternoon yesterday visiting with Kim and the puppies.  They get cuter by the day, and are very active and inquisitive now.  Their little personalities have really blossomed.  Each one is very distinct.  Boy #1 is very cute and can be a little obstinate at times.  #2 is such a little clown, and VERY affectionate!  #3 is quite independent and very playful.  #4 is beautiful, and she knows it.  Very happy puppy, but a bit of a crybaby.  She is very attached to Kim!  #5 is a very thoughtful puppy.  She is always interested in what you are doing.  Very sweet.  #6 has been affectionately named Zip, because she is a really zippy puppy!  Very quick on her feet, and very smart.  #7 is also quite independent, and very compliant.  She has always been the easiest to work with on the table.  She is a beautiful puppy too.  We took SO many pictures of them yesterday, but they were so fast, many of them didn't come out, or were just a blur.  Here are the latest for your enjoyment:

6 weeks old!

Hard to believe the puppies are 6 weeks old already.  Puppies grow so fast!  This week they learned the feeling of REALLY running around.  Kim set up a big pen for them, where they can romp and play.  All the puppies have their ears up now, so they look like real shelties.  They are all still extremely friendly and happy.  I've never seen a litter of puppies give more kisses!  They love to play and chase each other, and they are much more inquisitive now.  Some puppies have been named, either by prospective owners or by me and Kim.  I'm looking for a really flashy name for #7.  Any suggestions??

Week 5

Yes, these photos are late again, but it has been a busy time recently.  We weren't able to take the photos until Thursday last week, because of the huge snow storm.  We got 25"!  This is my first chance to post them.  The puppies are doing great.  We tried photos on the grooming table last week, but this was their first time being exposed to the table so the results aren't the greatest.  Some of them also got their ears done for the first time, so they were fussing with them a bit.  Hopefully they will be more used to it this week, and easier to work with.  Kim has created a big play area for them in her basement so they are finally learning what their legs can do for them!  Will try to get some action shots to post.  In the meantime, here are the latest:
