7 weeks old!

Had a GREAT afternoon yesterday visiting with Kim and the puppies.  They get cuter by the day, and are very active and inquisitive now.  Their little personalities have really blossomed.  Each one is very distinct.  Boy #1 is very cute and can be a little obstinate at times.  #2 is such a little clown, and VERY affectionate!  #3 is quite independent and very playful.  #4 is beautiful, and she knows it.  Very happy puppy, but a bit of a crybaby.  She is very attached to Kim!  #5 is a very thoughtful puppy.  She is always interested in what you are doing.  Very sweet.  #6 has been affectionately named Zip, because she is a really zippy puppy!  Very quick on her feet, and very smart.  #7 is also quite independent, and very compliant.  She has always been the easiest to work with on the table.  She is a beautiful puppy too.  We took SO many pictures of them yesterday, but they were so fast, many of them didn't come out, or were just a blur.  Here are the latest for your enjoyment:

6 weeks old!

Hard to believe the puppies are 6 weeks old already.  Puppies grow so fast!  This week they learned the feeling of REALLY running around.  Kim set up a big pen for them, where they can romp and play.  All the puppies have their ears up now, so they look like real shelties.  They are all still extremely friendly and happy.  I've never seen a litter of puppies give more kisses!  They love to play and chase each other, and they are much more inquisitive now.  Some puppies have been named, either by prospective owners or by me and Kim.  I'm looking for a really flashy name for #7.  Any suggestions??

Week 5

Yes, these photos are late again, but it has been a busy time recently.  We weren't able to take the photos until Thursday last week, because of the huge snow storm.  We got 25"!  This is my first chance to post them.  The puppies are doing great.  We tried photos on the grooming table last week, but this was their first time being exposed to the table so the results aren't the greatest.  Some of them also got their ears done for the first time, so they were fussing with them a bit.  Hopefully they will be more used to it this week, and easier to work with.  Kim has created a big play area for them in her basement so they are finally learning what their legs can do for them!  Will try to get some action shots to post.  In the meantime, here are the latest:

My favorite age!!

The puppies turned 4 weeks old yesterday.  They are SO cute!!  Their little personalities are beginning to really show.  All seem to have very happy, outgoing temperaments.  I just love this stage.  Kim and I spent a long time playing and watching them interact with their siblings (and us!).  Here are some pictures.  A lot of them are when they crashed after their play session, because we just couldn't get the camera to focus fast enough while they were playing!  I have also included our observations of each puppy in the "front and profile" pictures.

This is girl #4, hiding behind my knee.
This is also girl #4.  She was playing with a toy that Kim was squeaking.

Here is tri girl #6 playing with a little flamingo toy.
#7 girl and #4 girl playing with my leg.

#4 girl... need I say more?!

LUNCH!!

Here are the weekly front and profile pic's, in birth order:
#1 boy - Not much more we can say about this guy except he is adorable!  A real mush.

#2 boy - first one to start playing and show his personality.  He is quite small, and really sweet.

#3 girl - she was the first one to give kisses and wag her tail.  She is very inquisitive and active!  I couldn't take my eyes off her yesterday.  We nicknamed her "Trouble".  Could she be my next agility dog??

#4 girl - sweet, silly and VERY affectionate.

#5 girl (Noelle) - very easy going, at least at this stage of the game!

#6 girl - happy go lucky and playful.  She's very cute... her face reminds me of a baby rottie (in a good way!)

#7 girl - feisty and playful.  SUCH a cute face!!  Really pretty pretty pretty.  She is big, so hoping growth slows down.
